Maharashtra NEET MDS 2026 CAP registration begins

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has started the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2026 Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The counselling is being conducted for admission to postgraduate dental courses for the academic year 2026-27.Eligible candidates can register online until August 24, 2026, by 8 pm.Candidates must also complete the fee payment and document submission within the given deadlines. The registration fee and security deposit must be paid by 10 pm on August 24, while the last date to upload and submit the required documents is 11:59 pm on the same day.Candidates will be considered registered only after the applicable fee has been paid successfully.

What is the Maharashtra NEET MDS CAP 2026 process?

The counselling process will cover postgraduate dental admissions in government, government-aided, municipal corporation and private unaided dental colleges notified by the Maharashtra government.Admissions will be based on the candidate’s NEET MDS 2026 merit, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions and Maharashtra’s admission rules.Candidates who have already registered for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling must register separately with the Maharashtra State Competent Authority if they want to participate in the Maharashtra State Quota or CAP counselling.

Documents required for Maharashtra NEET MDS counselling 2026

Candidates should keep the following documents ready while completing the registration process:

  • Downloaded copy of the State NEET MDS 2026 application form
  • NEET MDS 2026 admit card
  • Valid photo identification proof such as Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, PAN Card or Passport
  • NEET MDS 2026 marksheet or scorecard
  • Nationality proof such as a Nationality Certificate, valid Passport or HSC/Class 12 School Leaving Certificate mentioning the candidate’s nationality as “Indian”
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree or passing certificate
  • Internship completion certificate issued by the university or head of the institution. The internship must have been completed on or before May 31, 2026
  • Permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the Maharashtra Medical Council, another State Dental Council in India or the National Dental Commission
  • Certificate from the head of the institute confirming that the dental college or institute where the candidate completed the BDS course is recognised by the National Dental Commission
  • Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format under Annexure M
  • Copy of the online fee payment receipt of Rs 3,000

Maharashtra NEET MDS counselling 2026 fee

Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 3,000 along with the security deposit. The payment must be completed by 10 pm on August 24, 2026.Candidates should ensure that all details entered in the application form are correct and that the required documents are uploaded in the prescribed format before the deadline.The CET Cell has clarified that merely registering for Maharashtra NEET MDS CAP 2026 does not guarantee admission.Admission will depend on the candidate meeting the required eligibility conditions, successful verification of original documents, merit and availability of seats.Candidates should therefore complete every stage of the counselling process within the prescribed deadline and keep copies of their application, payment receipt and uploaded documents for future reference.
