Bret Michaels announces he is cancelling upcoming tour dates

The musician had recently undergone kidney stone surgery and has been on the road to recovery. However, soon after his concert at The Bowl at Sugar Hill, medical health professionals determined that he is not fit enough to perform anymore and will need some time and space to get him back on his feet.In an official Facebook post on his account, Michael’s representatives posted and confirmed that after much contemplation and on the advice of his doctors, the veteran singer will not be able to return to the big stage for some time. The statement read, “Bret will be taking the next several months off to heal and get back to 100 percent.”The post further read, “Bret’s doctors, Dr. Abby Borhan and Dr. Patel, stated, ‘We will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being. He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels.’”Last month, the singer underwent the surgery and performed for his first show after the medical procedure in Georgia. The post concluded with an apology to everyone who had been looking forward to seeing Bret Michaels perform on stage, confirming that every future show has been cancelled for the time being. The post added, “Our deepest apologies from Michaels Entertainment Group, as we were truly looking forward to the rest of this year’s shows, including The Mountain Music Festival, private events, and all the great shows coming up. We now look ahead to Bret being able to return healthy, strong, and ready to rock.

About Bret Michaels’ surgery

Earlier this year, in July, the Poison frontman confirmed that he had to undergo several medical procedures. He also admitted that he apologised to his fans at the time, expressing his disappointment. He wrote in the post: “On this #WisdomWednesday, the first thing I learned is complete gratitude for the frontline workers, doctors, and nurses who this week have recently taken care of me, as the kidney stone would not pass.He shared another update on his Facebook page shortly after, revealing he is on the road to recovery. He added in the post, “I’m out of post-op recovery, and I’m doing everything within my power to feel better and continue playing great shows for great fans when I’ve got a complete clean bill of health. Just want to say on this #WisdomWednesday that I am wise enough to know how important family, friends, fans, doctors, and nurses play such a vital role in our everyday health. Also, just know, they eventually forced me out of my clothes and into a hospital gown, as I had gone straight from the show to the hospital.”Michaels was set to celebrate his 20 years of him being in the industry, with multiple shows lined up. Now it has been confirmed that his tour, ‘Live and Amplified,’ will be sorry about his reaction.
