DU CSAS UG 2026: Spot Round 1 vacant seats released; apply by August 24

The University of Delhi (DU) has released the vacant seat list for Common Seat Allocation System Undergraduate (CSAS UG) 2026-27 Spot Round 1. Applicants who have not taken admission to any college can now apply for the spot round through their dashboard on the official DU admission portal, admission.uod.ac.in.The last date to opt for Spot Round 1 is August 24, 2026, up to 11:59 pm.As per the vacant seat list, a total of 13,433 seats are available across 67 colleges. The university has clarified that the seat figures may change due to reconciliation, withdrawals, cancellations and other updates.“The vacant seats displayed are as of 23-08-2026 1:00 PM. The exact number of seats may vary due to reconciliations, withdrawals, cancellations, redressal of grievances, etc. Withdrawals will remain suspended during the Spot Round,” the official notice said.

DU CSAS UG 2026 Spot Round 1: Category-wise vacant seats

Of the total 13,433 vacant seats, 2,113 are under the Unreserved (UR) category, 4,133 under Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), 2,038 under Scheduled Caste (SC), 2,476 under Scheduled Tribe (ST) and 1,791 under Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).In addition, there are 316 seats for Christian applicants and 566 seats for Sikh applicants.

DU CSAS UG 2026 Spot Round 1: Who can apply?

Only registered CSAS (UG) applicants who do not hold an admission on or after August 22, 2026, are eligible to participate in the spot round.Eligible applicants will have to opt for ‘Spot Admission’ through their dashboard. They can select only those programme and college combinations where seats are available in their category.“To be considered in a Spot Admission round, the candidate will have to opt for ‘Spot Admission’ through his/her dashboard,” the official notification stated.Admission to a seat allotted in the spot round will be mandatory. Candidates will not have the option to upgrade or withdraw after a seat is allocated.Applicants who fail to accept an allotted seat will lose their eligibility for future DU admission rounds.

DU CSAS UG 2026 Spot Round 1: How to check vacant seats

Candidates can check the vacant seat list by following these steps:

  • Visit the official DU admission website, admission.uod.ac.in.
  • Click on the ‘Vacant Seats for Spot Round-I’ link on the homepage.
  • The vacant seat list PDF will appear on the screen.
  • Download the PDF and keep a copy for future reference.

Candidates are advised to check the vacant seats available for their category and programme before submitting their Spot Round 1 preference.
