RVUNL JE recruitment 2026

The Rajasthan power companies have extended the deadline to apply for their 2026 recruitment drive, giving candidates more time to submit their applications. The new last date is August 31, 2026.The recruitment drive covers 2,005 posts across two common recruitment exercises. One notification is for Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II posts, while the other is for Junior Engineer-I positions in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil disciplines.The recruitment is being conducted by the five state power companies: Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN), Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. (RVPN), Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (JVVN), Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVN) and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (JdVVN). The original notifications were issued on August 4, 2026.

Rajasthan power recruitment 2026 vacancies

Of the 2,005 vacancies, 1,136 posts are for Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II.The remaining 869 posts are for Junior Engineer-I. The engineering vacancies include:

  • Junior Engineer-I Electrical: 727 posts
  • Junior Engineer-I Mechanical: 110 posts
  • Junior Engineer-I Civil: 32 posts

The recruitment notifications provide company-wise and category-wise vacancy details, including vacancies in non-TSP and TSP areas.For the ministerial posts, the Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II vacancies are listed separately for the five power companies and include regular and backlog vacancies.

Who can apply?

The eligibility depends on the post.

  • For Junior Accountant, candidates need a graduation degree in Commerce or Business Administration from a recognised university. Candidates with specified professional qualifications such as the Intermediate examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, the Intermediate examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Master of Business Administration or M.Com are also eligible, subject to the notification’s conditions. A recognised computer qualification is also required.
  • For Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II, candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent and must also have one of the prescribed computer qualifications. Candidates must have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
  • For Junior Engineer-I, candidates need a full-time four-year engineering degree or the specified equivalent qualification in the relevant discipline. The Electrical, Mechanical and Civil posts have separate degree requirements.

Age limit

  • For Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant/Commercial Assistant-II, candidates must be at least 18 years old and ordinarily must not have crossed 40 years of age. The notification, however, sets the upper age limit at 43 years as on January 1, 2027, as direct recruitment was not conducted during the previous three years. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories and other eligible groups as per the rules.
  • For Junior Engineer-I, the minimum age is 21 years. The upper age limit varies by post and power company, with the notification specifying limits of 40 or 43 years as applicable on January 1, 2027. Reserved categories are eligible for the prescribed age relaxation.

How to apply

Candidates have to submit their applications online through the recruitment portal of the Rajasthan state power companies. Applicants need to fill in their details, upload the required photograph, signature, thumb impression and handwritten declaration, check the application before final submission and then complete the fee payment.The original notifications had kept the application and fee-payment window open from August 5 to August 25, 2026. The deadline has now been extended to August 31, giving applicants additional time to complete the process.Direct link to apply here.
