Delhi Police Constable PE&MT 2025 postponed due to adverse weather; fresh dates awaited

The Delhi Police has postponed the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) for candidates appearing for several posts under the Delhi Police examination 2025, citing adverse weather conditions. The decision affects candidates who were scheduled to appear for the physical test from August 22, 2026, onwards for Constable (Executive), while the PE&MT for all candidates shortlisted for Head Constable (Ministerial), Head Constable (AWO/TPO) and Constable (Driver) has also been postponed.The recruitment authority has said that fresh dates for the postponed physical tests will be announced separately. Candidates have been advised to regularly monitor the official Delhi Police website for further updates.

Delhi Police PE&MT 2025 postponed: What the official notice says

According to the postponement notice, the decision has been taken because of adverse weather conditions that have affected the conduct of the physical tests.For Constable (Executive), the PE&MT of candidates scheduled from August 22, 2026, onwards has been postponed. The postponement is not limited to a particular gender or category mentioned in the notice.The PE&MT for the other Delhi Police Examination 2025 posts has also been put on hold. The affected posts are:

  • Constable (Executive): PE&MT scheduled from August 22 onwards postponed
  • Head Constable (Ministerial): PE&MT for all candidates postponed
  • Head Constable (AWO/TPO): PE&MT for all candidates postponed
  • Constable (Driver): PE&MT for all candidates postponed

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has also published the postponement notice on its website, listing the Delhi Police PE&MT postponement among its examination-related updates.

Fresh Delhi Police PE&MT dates not announced yet

The immediate concern for candidates is the revised schedule. As of now, the authorities have not announced fresh dates for the postponed PE&MT.The notice makes it clear that the revised schedule will be notified in due course. Candidates therefore do not need to report for the postponed physical tests on the earlier dates.The postponement comes at a crucial stage of the Delhi Police recruitment process because PE&MT is a key stage for candidates shortlisted after the written examination. For Head Constable (Ministerial), for instance, SSC’s result notice confirms that candidates qualifying in the Computer Based Examination are shortlisted for subsequent stages including PE&MT, document verification and the relevant skill test.Here is the link to the official notice for the Delhi Police PE and MT postponement.
