Harper’s Bazaar reported that ahead of her upcoming residency show, Celine Dion landed in Paris in style. She made her first public appearance in almost two years as she headed out onto the streets. The singer was all smiles as she waved at all of the fans who had gathered around to catch a glimpse of her in front of the hotel that she was staying at, Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris.The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer wore a beige-colored double-breasted trench coat. The residency, which was earlier announced in March this year, was originally supposed to be for only 16 shows. However, reports at the time revealed that more than 9 million people worldwide had signed up for the early access passes for the residency. This prompted the singer and the organisers to extend it by ten more days. The set is supposed to run from September to October; however, extra shows have been added to new 2027 dates due to the high demand. The additional dates have been added for May 2027.What is Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS)?According to Cleveland Clinic, “Stiff person syndrome is a rare, chronic condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful muscle spasms. The severity of symptoms varies from person to person. There’s no cure for stiff person syndrome, but treatment can help manage symptoms and slow the progression of the condition.”Following the singer’s announcement that she has been diagnosed with SRS, her doctors encouraged her to rest and stop touring to recover. The singer had to cancel the remainder of her ‘Courage World Tour.’ Dion’s last performance was in 2024 for the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics. She had performed ‘Hymne à l’amour’ from the Eiffel Tower.
