Anne Hathaway was announced as the leading lady for the Tom Cruise-led ‘Days of Thunder’ sequel; however, actor Randy Quaid, who starred in the 1990’s hit, has slammed the casting.Quaid, who played Tim Daland in the racing drama, took to his handle to slam Hathaway’s casting in ‘Days of Thunder 2’, and instead, called for Nicole Kidman to reprise her role as Dr Claire Lewicki. The actress famously played the love interest of Cruise’s character, NASCAR driver Cole Trickle. “We need Nicole [Kidman] back,” Quaid wrote on X Saturday. “Don’t be a p***y, [Tom Cruise]. You need the original girl. It’s not personal; it’s filmmaking. Anne isn’t sexy, because and if you haven’t noticed, she’s pregnant.”Quaid followed up with another rant, writing, “Anne Hathaway is a leftist, woke, horrible choice for ‘DAYS OF THUNDER’ NASCAR audience who are MAGA. The sexy older chick for Tom in this film needs to be Nicole. That’s the casting that would sell the idea.
