The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has released the information brochure for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 and revised the registration schedule. Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate science and related programmes through JAM 2027 will be able to submit their applications from September 12.The application process will be conducted online through the official JAM website, jam.iitkgp.ac.in. The examination is scheduled to be held on February 14, 2027, at 114 cities across India.
JAM 2027 registration to begin on September 12
As per the revised schedule, candidates can start applying for JAM 2027 from September 12. Applicants will have the option to appear for one or two test papers from the seven subjects offered under the examination.The seven JAM 2027 test papers are:
- Biotechnology (BT)
- Chemistry (CY)
- Economics (EN)
- Geology (GG)
- Mathematics (MA)
- Mathematical Statistics (MS)
- Physics (PH)
Candidates planning to appear for two papers should check the permitted combinations before submitting their applications.
JAM 2027 application fee
The application fee will depend on the candidate’s category and the number of test papers selected.

Candidates will have to pay the applicable fee during the online registration process. The application will be considered complete only after the required details have been submitted and the fee has been paid.
JAM 2027 exam date and timings
IIT Kharagpur will conduct JAM 2027 as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on February 14, 2027. The examination will be conducted in two sessions.
