‘Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups’ entered its second weekend with its India box-office run approaching the Rs. 240 crore net mark. After opening to a mammoth Rs. 101.10 crore on Day 1, Yash‘s gangster drama saw its collections decline sharply through the week, although it continued to add to its theatrical tally. With the domestic total now within touching distance of Rs. 240 crore, the next few days will determine whether the Geetu Mohandas directorial can turn its strong opening into another major box-office milestone.The immediate domestic target for ‘Toxic’ is the Rs. 250 crore India net milestone. With Rs. 239.52 crore already in the bag, the film requires approximately Rs. 10.48 crore more to reach the mark. On the worldwide front, the film has crossed Rs. 328 crore and is now positioned to chase the Rs. 350 crore global milestone. It needs around Rs. 21.55 crore more to get there. ‘Toxic’ Day 1 to Day 9 earnings

‘Toxic’ began its theatrical run with an explosive Rs. 101.10 crore net on Day 1. The film then registered Rs. 37.65 crore on Day 2, followed by Rs. 27.20 crore on Day 3. Collections stood at Rs. 25.15 crore on Day 4 before easing to Rs 23 crore on Day 5. ‘Toxic’ earned Rs 7.65 crore on Day 6 and Rs. 7.85 crore on Day 7, before adding Rs. 5.10 crore on Day 8. Day 9 saw the film collect Rs. 4.25 crore net across 10,863 shows. The latest figures put its India net at Rs. 239.30 crore after nine days, while its domestic gross stands at Rs. 285.70 crore.The film also made a strong start internationally, earning Rs. 20 crore in overseas gross on Day 1. The figure dropped to Rs. 8 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 3.50 crore on Day 3. Days 4 and 5 took the overseas tally to Rs. 29.25 crore, providing a sizeable contribution to the film’s early worldwide run. The international market added Rs. 2 crore on Day 6 and Rs. 1.50 crore on Day 7. Another Rs. 1 crore came on Day 8, followed by Rs. 1 crore on Day 9. The overseas gross now stands at Rs. 42.75 crore. Combined with the domestic gross, the film has reached Rs. 328.45 crore worldwide.
