The index opened at 74,309.16 and traded within a intraday range between a low of 74,160.16 and a high of 74,584.35, following its previous session close of 74,902.59. IT stocks provided support to the index, led by gains in HCLTECH (+1.88%), TECHM (+1.69%), and INFY (+0.89%), alongside consumer stocks like ITC (+0.81%). Conversely, market losses were driven by drops in TATASTEEL (-1.96%), INDIGO (-1.78%), BAJFINANCE (-1.74%), and HDFCBANK (-1.39%). From a valuation standpoint, the index trades at a P/E ratio of 19.84, a P/B ratio of 4.02, and a dividend yield of 1.10%, staying well within its 52-week range of 71,545.81 to 86,159.02.
