Armaan Malik HITS BACK at trolls calling him and Amaal Malik ‘Ungrateful’ to Salman Khan amid ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ song credit row: ‘Don’t talk about gratitude’

Singer-composer Armaan Malik has hit back at online criticism after his brother Amaal Malik called out Salman Khan Films for failing to credit him on a post marking 11 years of the song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ from the film ‘Hero’. The remarks came after a section of netizens branded the brothers “ungrateful” towards Salman Khan, prompting Armaan to weigh in and defend their stance.

What sparked the row

Amaal Malik, who composed the track ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’, pointed out in the comments section of the celebratory post that he had not been given due credit. Following his callout, the post was subsequently edited to include his name.

Netizen slams Malik brothers as ‘ungrateful’ and Armaan Malik’s sharp response

The controversy escalated when an X user criticised both brothers over their reaction, writing, “What a shameful behaviour from the two brothers… the support they got should have gone to more grateful and worthy people.”Responding to the backlash, Armaan Malik urged critics to understand what it feels like to create something original and not receive acknowledgement for it. He wrote, “I’d be curious to hear how that feels 🙂 Don’t talk about gratitude. I’ve always been grateful for my beginnings, but I also know how hard it has been to reach where I’ve reached. If we don’t fight for our right, no one will.”

Amaal Malik’s original calloutThe row began after Salman Khan Films shared a post on Friday celebrating 11 years of ‘Hero’ and its popular track but did not mention the song’s composer or lyricist. Reacting to the omission, Amaal commented, “Whoever is handling the page or the social media of @skfilmsofficial, I love the audacity you have shown by leaving out the composer & the lyricist of the song lol!”He further added, “It doesn’t look nice that a song that is created with the pain, blood, sweat and tears of a music composer & his lyric writer is celebrated without the creators being respected or even mentioned. Learn to do the basics; otherwise, delete this page. Don’t delete my comment; let Salman sir see it as well so that he knows you guys screwed up.”
