Ambika explained that she would personally avoid situations that could invite negative comments about a close friend who holds an important position. She said, “If I were in Trisha’s place, and I knew that negative criticism would come, I would avoid going along. This is my opinion. We should value friendship, but we should also be careful.”

Ambika also stressed that people cannot simply end a friendship because one person has moved into a more prominent position. She said, “When two people are friends, if one of them reaches a higher position in life, we cannot reject that friendship. We should not give it another colour. We can say what we would do in such a situation, but we cannot tell someone else what they should or should not do.” She added that if her presence with a friend in a particular place could lead to unnecessary criticism, she would choose not to attend.
