After the success of ‘Saiyaara’, director Mohit Suri is set to reunite with Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for another romantic offering backed by Yash Raj Films. According to a report by Mid-Day, the yet-untitled film is an unconventional and mature love story that will also incorporate elements of action. The project is expected to begin filming in Mumbai in October before shifting to Goa for its next schedule in November.

Mohit Suri to begin Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s next in October

In April, Mohit Suri announced that he would reunite with his ‘Saiyaara’ leads Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for another project. The collaboration is now moving towards production, with the first schedule set to begin in October.According to Mid-Day, Suri will kick off the shoot at an indoor set at YRF Studios in Andheri, Mumbai. The filmmaker has already conducted look tests for the actors during July and August.The report stated that the film is a quirky and unconventional romantic story, adding that Mohit Suri completed the actors’ look tests in July and August. The shoot is scheduled to begin in October at an indoor set constructed at YRF Studios in Andheri. The initial Mumbai schedule will reportedly concentrate on establishing the central characters and their respective worlds before the story moves to its next location.

YRF-backed romance to move to Goa in November

The first schedule will reportedly focus on the introduction sequences of the lead characters, along with scenes set in their respective homes. The production will then move to Goa in November as the romantic story progresses.The report further revealed that the shoot will shift to Goa in November as the story progresses. Producer Akshaye Widhani wanted to steer clear of a conventional “bubblegum” romance, opting instead for a mature and unconventional love story that suits Mohit Suri’s storytelling style. Unlike ‘Saiyaara’, the upcoming film will also feature significant action elements.The combination of romance and action marks a departure from the approach of ‘Saiyaara’, while retaining the emotional and unconventional storytelling associated with Suri’s romantic dramas. If the production schedule proceeds as planned, the film is expected to wrap up by December.

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s busy work slate

Both actors have kept themselves occupied since their breakout debut in ‘Saiyaara’, a film that went on to cross the Rs 300 crore mark domestically and reportedly crossed Rs 450 crore internationally. Ahaan Panday is currently wrapping up work on a gangster drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, also backed by YRF, while Aneet Padda has been busy filming Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror-comedy ‘Shakti Shalini’ for producer Dinesh Vijan. Padda is also set to make her OTT debut with the legal drama series ‘Nyaya’, which was shot before she signed on for ‘Saiyaara’.
