Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia‘s upcoming movie ‘Vvan: Force of the Forest’ has run into a controversy ahead of its theatrical release. Vocalist Sargam Vaish has accused the makers of using his original song in the film’s trailer without his permission.Sargam Vaish raised the issue through social media. He shared a video in which he requested the team to remove his music from the trailer. He also indicated that he could explore legal options if his request is not addressed.The vocalist claimed that he discovered his song in the official trailer without having granted permission for its use. He also said that the music is already part of an agreement with a major music label.
Sargam Vaish objects to song’s use in ‘Vvan’
According to Sargam Vaish, the song was used in the official trailer without his consent. He said he had not authorized the track for the movie’s trailer or its promotional activities.The vocalist explained that the matter is particularly important because he has already signed the work with a major music label. He claimed that the alleged use without authorization could affect his existing contractual arrangement.“REMOVE MY SONG FROM THE VVAAN I recently came across the “THE VVAAN – Official Trailer” and noticed that my original song has been used in it without my permission or consent.I have not given permission for my music to be used in the trailer or for its promotion. This is very important to me because I have already signed this work with a major music label, and this unauthorized use could affect my existing contract. I believe every artist deserves to have their work respected. No artist’s work should be used without their permission.”
Vocalist asks ‘Vvan’ team to remove music
Sargam Vaish has called on the makers to take down his music from the promotional material. He also asked the concerned team to get in touch with him and clarify whether they have any valid authorization.“I kindly request the concerned team to please remove my music and contact me directly. If there is any valid permission or license for its use, I would appreciate being provided the details. I’m sharing this here because I genuinely need your support. Sargam Vaish hints at legal action
In the video shared alongside his post, Sargam Vaish spoke about the next step if his request is not followed. He said his legal team would look into the matter if the song remains in the trailer.‘Vvan: Force of the Forest’ features Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The movie is set in the forests of Central India and draws inspiration from Indian folklore. The movie is directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on September 25.
