There was no stopping Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan as he followed his Player of the Match performance in the series opener with a century to help India Under 19 beat Australia Under 19 by 103 runs in Rajkot and seal the three-match Youth ODI series with a game to spare.Chauhan hit 122 off 100 balls, with 15 fours and two sixes, as India posted 341 for 7 after being asked to bat first. It was his second fifty-plus score in as many games. He shared a 132-run partnership with VK Vineeth for the third wicket to put India in control.Vineeth made 87 off 92 balls, hitting four fours and six sixes, while Aaryavir Sehwag scored 47 off 48 balls at the top of the order. India were 233 for 3 when Vineeth was dismissed in the 40th over, but Chauhan and Kushagra Ojha helped them finish strongly.Ojha smashed 34 off 20 balls, including five fours and a six, as India added 106 runs in the last 10 overs. For Australia, Thomas Vaseo was the most successful bowler with 3 for 78 from his 10 overs.Australia’s chase did not keep up with the required rate, although captain Jack Czosnek and Matthew Lough showed some fight after Aussies lost both openers cheaply. Lough scored 42 off 40 balls, while Czosnek made 81 off 63, hitting seven fours and four sixes.But once Czosnek was dismissed by Kavya Paresh Patel in the 27th over, Australia lost wickets regularly.Blake Cattle made 44 off 46 balls, but he found little support as Australia were bowled out for 238 in 41.1 overs. They lost their last six wickets for just 38 runs.Chigurupati Venkata was India’s most successful bowler with 3 for 64, while Chauhan completed his all-round performance with 2 for 56.
