Nani and Srikanth Odela reunited for their latest release ‘The Paradise’ after their successful 2023 film ‘Dasara’. During an event hosted by the makers recently, the director talked about his close relationship with Nani and addressed reports about disagreements between them during the making of the film.During an event hosted by the makers of ‘The Paradise’ on Saturday, Srikanth Odela shared about his bond with Nani which goes beyond a regular actor-director relationship and that their emotions cannot be limited to the films they make together.
Srikanth addresses reports of disagreements with Nani
Srikanth said he had heard several reports about Nani being upset with him, scolding him and the two having disagreements during the making of ‘The Paradise’.“I mean, I read a few things during this film-making process—that Nani anna got angry, Nani anna was upset, Nani anna scolded, kicked, Srikanth was upset, Srikanth shouted—I heard all these things like Nani anna and I had fights, this and that. I mean, yes, in that, Nani anna scolding me is a fact, and the words I spoke to him might also be true,” he said loosely translated in English.However, Srikanth explained that these moments should not define their relationship or their cinema.
Srikanth Odela opens up about his bond with Nani
Srikanth Odela also joked that Nani has to continue supporting him because he was the one who brought him into the film industry. “But the problem is, what I want to clearly say here is… Nani anna’s and my cinema, whether it is Paradise or Dasara, tomorrow we might make another movie, we might make another movie together,” he said.He said, “Because he definitely has to bear me, that’s it; he has no option. He has to carry me. He has no option. There is no problem in that at all. Since you brought me and put me here, it is your responsibility, you alone have to carry me, and you will carry me too.”He added that some relationships have to be understood beyond life and death and said that Nani is one such person in his life.‘The Paradise’ was released last Thursday and as of Day 4, ‘The Paradise’ has collected a net of Rs. 3.28 crore as per the live numbers recorded till this morning. The total net collection of India comes to Rs. 79.68 crore as of now.
