‘The Paradise’: Sonali Kulkarni celebrates Nani starrer crossing Rs. 100 crore in India; says, ‘super happy’

Nani and Srikanth Odela’s latest action thriller ‘The Paradise’ has continued a decent box office run while receiving mixed reviews from the audience. After a week since its release the film has completed the Rs. 100 crore mark in India. To celebrate this feat, actress Sonali Kulkarni who played the character of Nani’s mother in the film cut the cake along with the paps.

Sonali Kulkarni celebrates ‘The Paradise’ success

Recently, Sonali Kulkarni was seen cutting a chocolate cake to celebrate the film’s success. In a video shared by handle SnehZala on Instagram showed the actress happily talking about the film’s performance and thanking the audience.“Super happy. Cheers on Rs 100 crores, cheers on The Paradise and cheers on my song ‘Sammakka’. Thank you everyone. Thank you so much. The Paradise is doing really great,” she said.

Nani’s ‘The Paradise’ crosses Rs. 162 crore worldwide

The film opened strongly at the box office, collecting Rs 46.25 crore in India on its first day. It also recorded the biggest opening of Nani’s career.However, collections declined after the film received mixed reactions from critics and moviegoers. Despite this, the film has continued to earn at the box office.According to Sacnilk, ‘The Paradise’ collected a net of Rs 2.80 crore across 1,547 shows on Day 9. Its total India gross collection has reached Rs 131.05 crore, while its India net collection stands at Rs 111 crore.The film has also collected Rs 30.95 crore in overseas markets, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 162 crore.

About ‘The Paradise’

Directed by Srikanth Odela, ‘The Paradise’ is set in the 1980s and follows the Savaari tribe and its struggle for legal citizenship.Nani plays Jadal, whose mother Sammakka is portrayed by Sonali Kulkarni. Sammakka is the leader of the community, while Mohan Babu plays Shikanja Malik, a powerful feudal lord. Raghav Juyal plays his son, Vikram Malik.The film also stars Kayadu Lohar in a key role, while Keerthy Suresh appears in a special song.The film was released in theatres on September 24.
