Prabhas’ upcoming grand period war action drama remains one of the most awaited projects as he joins hands with ‘Sita Ramam’ fame Hanu Raghavapudi. As confirmed earlier, the movie is set to miss the December 3 release date, recently actor Jitin Gulati who is part of the cast talked about the delay.

‘Fauzi’ actor talks about delay of the Prabhas starrer

While speaking with Hindustan Times, Jitin Gulati reveals that the delay did not come as a shock to the team. He said that the team is still shooting for the film and understood that the release could be pushed. He mentioned that the makers do not want to release an incomplete project.

“I don’t know how much is going to be pushed; I don’t know what is the new date that they are thinking about. But it was not a shock. I mean, of course, we are still shooting for it. So it was quite a, it was quite understood. And the idea is not to give a half-baked project. I mean, a film lives for a lifetime. What once comes out? You cannot undo it,” he said.He added, “We’d rather be very, very satisfied with what we are doing. And I know the producers and the directors and the cast involved are very happy with the outcome, and I don’t think they want to compromise any bit. So if it takes about, let’s say, a few months more to finish it properly, I think it’s going to be worth it.”Earlier in September, the makers confirmed that ‘Fauzi’ was being pushed back.

What is ‘Fauzi’ about?

Speaking about the film, the ‘Baaubali’ actor is expected to play a soldier in the film, marking his return to the period drama genre after several big-budget projects. In the poster released by the makers, he is seen covered in blood and sitting on a stone while holding a gun. The tagline reads, “battalion who fights alone.”

‘Fauzi’ stars internet personality Imanvi Esmail in her acting debut. Sajjad Delafrooz, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada are also part of the cast.The film is being made on a large scale and has been generating interest because of its period setting and Prabhas’ character. However, the makers have not yet announced the new release date.
