YouTuber and internet personality MrBeast recently visited India for a promotional event for producer Namit Malhotra’s much-anticipated ‘Ramayana’, bringing together some of the biggest names from Indian entertainment and sports.Nearly a week after his visit, the YouTube star took to his handle to share pictures from his time in India. Among the photos was a picture with Ranbir Kapoor from the film promotions. He also shared photos with several other Indian personalities, including cricketer Hardik Pandya and captioned the post as, “Had an amazing trip to India.”MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, attended an event in Mumbai last week, where he was seen with ‘Ramayana’ stars Ranbir, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey. During the event, the YouTuber was seen joining in a chant of “Jai Shri Ram”, as the makers showcased their ambitious two-part adaptation of the Indian epic.

MrBeast paid Rs 1.67 crore for event appearance?

According to a report on Variety India, MrBeast is available for live and virtual appearances, with fees reportedly starting at USD 200,000 (approximately Rs 1.67 crore). However, there has been no official confirmation of the fee paid for his appearance at the Mumbai event.MrBeast’s association with the ‘Ramayana’ event has consequently fuelled speculation about the film’s plans to connect with international audiences, particularly in the US.

About ‘Ramayana: Part 1’

‘Ramayana’ is a two-part film adaptation of the ancient Indiain epic. The first instalment, officially titled ‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’, will follow Lord Ram’s journey from his early years through his marriage to Sita, exile and the subsequent abduction of his wife by the villain, Ravana, played by actor Yash.

‘Ramayana’ release date

‘Ramayana: The Rise of a Legend’ is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 6, just in time for Diwali. Meanwhile, ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ is slated for a release on Diwali 2027.
