The ‘Jailer 2’ trailer, released on October 5, puts Rajinikanth firmly at the centre of the action and gives fans a closer look at the world Nelson has created for the sequel. The Superstar appears in several stylish avatars as Muthuvel Pandian, switching between his calm family-man side and the ruthless jailer persona that made him a fan favourite in the first film. The trailer also hints at bigger action blocks, darker confrontations and plenty of Nelson-style humour. At the same time, it introduces the new characters played by SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan and Suraj Venjaramoodu, adding more mystery to the conflict. The presence of the new faces, along with glimpses of returning characters, suggests that the sequel is aiming for a much larger universe.
