Since early May, something in your life has probably felt stuck underground. A decision you kept circling back to. A situation that changed on the inside but looked exactly the same from the outside. That phase ends on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Pluto stations direct at 3°04′ Aquarius at 10:40 p.m. EDT, which is 7:40 p.m. on the West Coast.
Why Pluto Direct Matters
Pluto is the slowest planet astrologers track. It spends about 20 years in a single sign, and it goes retrograde for roughly five months every year. This year’s retrograde began on May 6 at 5°30′ Aquarius. Pluto then drifted back a couple of degrees, and now it turns around.During retrograde, Pluto’s work happens mostly inside you. Old fears get examined. Power struggles get replayed in your head at 2 a.m. But once Pluto turns direct, those inner changes start showing up in the real world. You’re less likely to brood and more likely to act.Think of a renovation. For five months, the walls were opened up and nobody could see progress. Now the rebuilding finally becomes visible.
A Crowded Month in the Sky
Pluto doesn’t turn alone. Venus has been retrograde since October 3, and Mercury follows on October 24. So October has a strange mix of energy, with one heavy planet moving forward while two personal planets go backward. The Hunter’s Moon on October 26 also squares Pluto almost exactly. Expect whatever Pluto stirs up mid-month to reach a peak around that weekend.
