The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) will close the registration window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 tomorrow, October 22. Candidates who wish to apply for postgraduate programmes in science and related fields at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other participating institutes must complete the application process by tomorrow.Interested candidates can register online through the official website, jam.iitkgp.ac.in. Those who have not yet submitted their applications should complete the process before the deadline.

IIT JAM 2027 exam date and schedule

IIT Kharagpur will conduct JAM 2027 on February 14 in computer-based test mode. The examination will be held in two sessions.The morning session will take place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematics (MA).The afternoon session will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for Biotechnology (BT), Economics (EN), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).Candidates can appear for one or two test papers. However, those choosing two papers can select only papers scheduled in different sessions.The question paper will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the IIT JAM 2027 application process:

Visit the official website, jam.iitkgp.ac.in.
Click on the application portal link on the homepage.
Open the registration option in the new window.
Complete the registration process.
Log in using the enrolment ID or email address and password.
Enter the captcha code or security PIN displayed on the screen.
Fill out the application form with the required personal, academic and other details.
Upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.
Pay the applicable application fee and check the details entered in the form.
Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt for future reference.

IIT JAM 2027: Programmes and admission details

JAM 2027 will offer admission to 89 postgraduate programmes across 23 IITs for the 2027-28 academic session.Candidates can seek admission to programmes including Master of Science (MSc), Master of Science in Technology (MSc Tech), Master of Science by Research (MS Research), MSc in Master of Technology (MSc MTech), Joint Master of Science-Doctor of Philosophy (Joint MSc-PhD), MSc-PhD dual degree and integrated PhD programmes.
