DU CSAS Round 1 seat allocation list 2026 delayed: When will it be released?

Thousands of candidates waiting for the first round of undergraduate admissions at the University of Delhi (DU) are left refreshing their screens Wednesday evening as the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Round 1 seat allotment list is yet to be released.The first allocation list was scheduled to be published at 5 pm on July 16 through candidates’ dashboards on the DU UG Admission portal. However, even after the announced time, the allotment status is not visible. Some also reported difficulties accessing the portal, with the portal either loading slowly or failing to open.The first allocation list is expected to be published shortly.

What happens once the allocation list is released?

After the first allocation list is published, shortlisted candidates will have to accept their allotted seats through the CSAS portal before moving to the document verification and fee payment stages.The admission process will follow the schedule announced by DU.

Candidates who receive a seat will have to click on the Accept Allotted Seat option before the deadline. Once the allotted college verifies the uploaded documents, candidates will be able to pay the admission fee online to confirm their provisional admission.

How to check DU CSAS Round 1 allotment

Once the allocation list is activated, candidates can access it through their dashboards.

  • Visit the official DU UG Admission portal.
  • Click on the Candidate Login option.
  • Enter the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 application number and password.
  • Complete the security captcha.
  • Log in to the dashboard.
  • Open the First Round Allotment Status link.
  • Download and save the allotment details.

The first round is one of the biggest stages of the admission process this year.According to DU, 2,73,751 candidates registered initially for CSAS UG 2026. Of these, 2,18,284 completed Phase I registration, while 2,08,043 locked their final programme and college preferences before the preference window closed.The university is offering 71,624 undergraduate seats across 69 colleges and departments in 73 undergraduate programmes, making the competition close to three candidates for every available seat.
