TMZ recently reported that the 39-year-old and Kennedy had been together for around 10 years now. However, the couple recently parted ways and have officially filed for divorce. From the report statements, it was revealed that the actress had been the one to file for divorce on July 8, earlier this month.The report also shared that Elliott is opting to get joint legal and physical custody of their kids, Edith, who is five years old, and William, who is 3 years old. Another request for spousal support and attorney fee coverage has also been mentioned in the court.At the time of writing, neither Elliott nor Kennedy has made any statements about their split to the public.

The former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star and the producer met for the first time while they were working together on ‘Sex Ed.’ Kennedy had been the one working on the film as the writer, while the actress had been hired to play Trish’s role.
