When will NTA release UGC NET June 2026 answer key? Here's what we know

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 provisional answer key soon on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.Once released, candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to download the provisional answer key by logging in with their application number and date of birth or password. Along with the answer key, the testing agency will also publish candidates’ recorded responses, individual response sheets, question papers, subject-wise answer keys, and the answer key challenge window.The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30 for 87 subjects.Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key will be allowed to challenge it by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question. The objections submitted by candidates will be reviewed by subject experts. If a challenge is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised and the changes will be reflected in the final answer key.The final answer key will be prepared after all valid objections are examined. The results will be declared based on this final answer key.The UGC NET is held twice every year, in June and December, to determine the eligibility of candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.

How to download UGC NET June 2026 answer key

Candidates can follow these steps once the answer key is released:

  • Visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key link on the homepage.
  • Enter the application number and date of birth or password.
  • Click on Submit.
  • The provisional answer key will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and save it for future reference.
