The stunning debut look of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Season 3 was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Along with announcing the much-anticipated ensuing episodes, the makers revealed that Simon Pegg will join the cast as the voice of the Balrog. Based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth, the fantasy series will premiere in November.Here’s a closer look at Season 3 of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.’

Simon Pegg becomes the voice of Balrog

‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ announced surprises and cast members during their panel at Hall H, including the showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. The press release stated that more than 6,500 attendees were part of the show. The surprise appearances included four armoured Nazgûl, the ring servants of Sauron and Second Age predecessors of the Nazgûl. Furthermore, Simon Pegg joins the cast as the voice of Balrog, the first time the creature will speak. Many creatures join in the upcoming season, including Fell-beasts, Mumakil, Orgs, and Balrog.The official logline of the third season reads, “Season Three takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war, bind all peoples to his will – and at last rule all Middle-earth.”

About ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’

‘The Rings of Power’ cast members include Charlie Vickers, Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Robert Strange, and Markella Kavenagh. The additional members who joined for the third season include Jamie Campbell Bower, Eddie Marsan, Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla and Adam Young.The third season will premiere on November 11, 2026, with four episodes, along with the fifth and sixth episodes on November 18, 2026, and the last two episodes on November 25, 2026.
