The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026 result. Candidates who appeared for the written examination can now check the result PDF on the official UPSC website.According to the Commission, 1,340 candidates have qualified for the Interview/Personality Test based on their performance in the Engineering Services (Main) Examination held on June 21, 2026.UPSC has clarified that the candidature of all shortlisted candidates is provisional and will be subject to verification of eligibility conditions. Candidates will have to produce original documents related to age, educational qualification, community, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status, benchmark disability (where applicable), and other relevant claims during the Personality Test.

The Commission will soon open a 15-day online window for shortlisted candidates. During this period, candidates must log in to the designated UPSC portal, update their details and upload proof of passing the required qualifying examination. Candidates who fail to complete this process will not be allowed to appear for the Personality Test, and their candidature may be cancelled.Apart from uploading the required documents, candidates will also be able to update their correspondence address, higher qualifications, achievements, employment details, service experience, service allocation and service preferences. UPSC has said that all shortlisted candidates must submit the online application form during this window, even if no changes are required. This is necessary for the generation of the e-Summon Letter.The schedule for the Personality Test will be announced separately. Candidates will be able to download their e-Summon Letter from the UPSC website once it is released. The Commission will also publish the interview schedule roll number-wise. UPSC has stated that requests for a change in the interview date or time will not be accepted.The Commission further said that the marks of both qualified and non-qualified candidates will be uploaded only after the final result is declared following the completion of the Personality Test.
