The report stated that the singer has been a victim of similar cyberattacks and hacking attempts on multiple occasions and wishes to uncover all involved individuals through this complaint.Unreleased music, photos, videos, and audio recordings, among other things, were included in the content leaked online on the dark web. Hackers accessed accounts of people who worked with her through illegal means, resulting in “unlawful and egregious theft, dissemination, and exploitation of unreleased content.” The report also revealed that all of this content, which was never meant for public consumption, was sold for high bids on the dark web and has caused her “substantial and irreparable harm.”The complaint further read, “In 2023 alone, 45 unreleased songs belonging to Ms Grande were hacked, stolen, and leaked by Defendants. Since her music debut in 2011, hundreds of similar leaks have taken place.”

The singer’s official complaint lists more than 100 people. This involves hackers, people who bought the material online on the dark web, as well as other individuals and businesses accused of illegally distributing her content without permission.PEOPLE reported that Grande wishes to take strict action. “The lawsuit is intended to serve as a deterrent against future acts of this nature – not only targeting Ariana, but also the many artists who have faced similar invasions of their privacy and theft of their creative work. The unlawful theft and distribution of creative work undermines that right and should not be tolerated,” read a statement in the report. The complaint detailed how hackers accessed her unreleased content, stating that on one occasion they gained access to a photographer’s Dropbox account who had previously worked with her.
