Avore e-bikes launched: Up to 114 kmph top speed, 260 km range!

Gujarat-based EV startup Avore Electric has entered the Indian electric motorcycle segment with the launch of its first product lineup, the EX series. The new range comprises three models: EX1, EX2 and EX2S, with introductory prices starting at Rs 1.24 lakh, ex-showroom. The launch offer is valid for the first 10,000 customers, after which the starting price will increase to Rs 1.34 lakh. Bookings have also commenced at Rs 799, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in around two months.The entry-level EX1 is priced at Rs 1.24 lakh and uses a 3.24 kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 160 km. It has a claimed top speed of 100 kmph and can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds. It comes equipped with a 7-inch segmented display, LED lighting, four riding modes, an onboard charger and connectivity features such as 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. The battery is backed by a five-year warranty.Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, the EX2 gets a larger 5 kWh battery that increases the claimed range to 255 km. The top speed stays at 100 kmph. It features a 7-inch digital display, LED headlamp, four riding modes and an onboard charger capable of charging the battery from 20 to 80 percent in around two hours. Like the EX1, it also gets 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, CBS with disc brakes and a five-year battery warranty.The flagship EX2S is priced at Rs 1.69 lakh and offers the strongest performance in the lineup. It uses the same 5 kWh battery but delivers a claimed IDC range of 260 km. The top speed increases to 114 kmph. The company claims a 0-40 kmph sprint time of 2.8 seconds. It also gets a 7-inch display with AI functions, six riding modes and the same two-hour 20-80 percent charging time using the onboard charger.Across the range, Avore has introduced several technologies including an integrated motor and swingarm setup, a 1,500W onboard charger that works with standard household sockets, and a rare-earth-free permanent magnet synchronous motor. The company claims the EX2S and EX2 produce up to 10.5 kW of peak power, while all three variants generate 250 Nm of peak wheel torque.The motorcycles also feature proprietary software and connected technologies such as AVORE SENSE operating system, AVA vehicle assistance, an AI-powered companion called Avore Synapse, manual gear mode, park assist and several convenience features including automatic indicator cut-off and guide-me-home lights.
