AISSMS IOIT strengthens India-Japan academic ties with Happy Science University collaboration

Continuing its commitment to internationalization and global learning, AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT), Pune, has deputed a delegation of 19 students along with Faculty Coordinator Dr. Varsha K. Patilto participate in a 10-day Short-Term International Student and Staff Exchange Programme at Happy Science University, scheduled from 30 July to 8 August 2026.The exchange programme is designed to provide students with international academic exposure, cross-cultural learning, experiential education, and opportunities to interact with students and faculty members in Japan. Through classroom sessions, cultural immersion, institutional visits, and collaborative activities, participants will gain valuable global perspectives that will enrich their academic and personal development.This visit marks another significant milestone in the growing academic partnership between AISSMS IOIT and Happy Science University. Earlier this year, a delegation from Happy Science University visited AISSMS IOIT and actively participated in the institute’s flagship annual cultural festival, Alacrity, laying a strong foundation for meaningful academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and people-to-people engagement. The current programme represents the reciprocal phase of this successful international partnership.The year-long collaborative initiatives and exchange activities between the two institutions have been coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi A. Thalor, Dean – International Partnerships, and Dr. Varsha K. Patil, under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Pradeep B. Mane and with the encouragement and support of Honorary Secretary Malojiraje Chhatrapati.Speaking about the initiative, the institute emphasized that international collaborations play a vital role in preparing students to become globally competent professionals by exposing them to diverse academic environments, cultures, and innovative practices.This initiative reflects AISSMS IOIT’s unwavering commitment to fostering global partnerships and providing transformative international learning experiences, further strengthening the educational and cultural ties between India and Japan.
