India produced a sensational performance on the track as Dilip Mahadu Gavit stormed to gold while Mohammed Basil Morssinganakth clinched silver in the men’s T47 100m at the Commonwealth Games 2026.Dilip delivered a breathtaking finish, producing a blistering burst over the final 30 metres to clock a Games Record of 10.71 seconds and secure the top spot on the podium.Basil also finished strongly, crossing the line in 10.83 seconds to seal the silver medal and complete a historic 1-2 finish for India. England’s Kevin Santos took the bronze medal after finishing third in 10.85 seconds.The dominant display by Gavit and Basil marked one of India’s finest moments of the Games, as the duo delivered a historic podium sweep and further strengthened the country’s medal tally.More to follow…
