Born in Bedfordshire, England, in 1946, Tom Chadbon had a legendary career spanning 50 years, with his first television performances dating back to the 1960s. He famously appeared in ‘Doctor Who’ in 1979, where he played private detective Duggan opposite Tom Baker’s Doctor in the ‘City of Death’ serial, according to the BBC. Chadbon featured in several projects over the years, including ‘Peep Show,’ ‘The Bill,’ ‘Midsomer Murders’ and ‘Where the Heart Is.’ In 1997, Chadbon starred alongside Charles Dance, Diana Rigg and Emilia Fox in ‘Rebecca.’ He also made regular appearances in the hospital drama ‘Casualty’ as the director of critical care.
