The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched its Apprentice Recruitment 2026 drive for 410 positions at the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre in Bengaluru. Aspirants can apply through the NATS portal until August 28, 2026. The recruitment covers graduate, technician and commercial apprentice roles, with candidates to be shortlisted on the basis of their academic performance.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has opened applications for its Apprentice Recruitment 2026, offering 410 apprenticeship positions at the U.R. Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The recruitment drive covers Graduate, technician, and Commercial Practice apprenticeships.The online application process commenced on July 29 through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. Eligible candidates can submit their applications until 11:59 pm on August 28, 2026.

Recruitment opens doors to careers at India’s Space Agency

ISRO’s latest apprenticeship programme is aimed at equipping young professionals with practical exposure in engineering and commercial disciplines while working in a high-technology environment. 410 vacancies announced across three Apprentice categories

The recruitment drive includes a total of 410 apprentice positions distributed among three categories. The organisation has also specified the monthly stipend that selected candidates will receive during the apprenticeship period.

Selection process based on academic performance

According to ISRO, the shortlisting process would mostly depend on merit. In the initial phase, candidates would be selected depending on the percentage of marks scored in their respective fields of study.The selected candidates will be called for document verification at the specified center. After verification is completed, the organization will form the final merit panel of candidates based on their academic merit in their degree/diploma courses.It is also stated in the notification that there will be no traveling allowance (TA) for candidates who travel for document verification.
