Kia India has teased the all-new Sorento Hybrid ahead of its India debut, confirming that it will become the brand’s first hybrid SUV for the domestic market. Alongside the teaser, the company has also opened official pre-bookings for the three-row SUV. Once launched, the Sorento will sit at the top of Kia India’s ICE SUV range and take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron and Jeep Meridian.The teaser offers the first glimpse of the India-spec Sorento, revealing a bold and upright stance. At the front, the SUV features vertically stacked LED headlamps with T-shaped LED DRLs. The Sorento is expected to be offered in both six-seat and seven-seat configurations.While Kia is yet to reveal the India-spec interior, the Sorento is expected to come loaded with a host of features. These are likely to include dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, multi-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera.Under the hood, the India-bound Sorento is expected to use a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a self-charging hybrid system.
