The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced the round 1 choice filling process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling 2026. It is a crucial stage in the admission process for MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical programmes. Candidates who have successfully completed registration can now log in to the official counselling portal and submit their preferred colleges and courses.The choice filling facility will remain available until August 13, after which candidates will be required to lock their preferences within the stipulated timeline. The seat allotment will be carried out based on candidates’ NEET UG rank, reservation criteria, seat availability and the order of preferences submitted during counselling.The MCC is conducting the centralised counselling process for admissions under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical and dental colleges. The process also includes admissions to AIIMS, JIPMER, Central Universities, deemed universities and other participating institutions across the country.Candidates seeking admission under their respective 85 per cent state quota seats will have to participate separately through the counselling authorities of their respective states, as state counselling is conducted independently from the MCC process.

Candidates can complete the choice filling process by following these steps:

  • Go to the official MCC counselling portal, mcc.nic.in.
  • Log in using the registered credentials.
  • Open the choice filling section.
  • Select preferred colleges and courses.
  • Arrange the options in the desired order of priority.
  • Save the choices and lock them before the deadline.
  • Download and keep a copy of the locked choices for future reference.
