UPSC NDA, NA exam 2 dates

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the exam date for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination 2, 2026. The examination will be conducted on September 13, 2026, in two shifts.The Mathematics paper, carrying 300 marks, will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm. The General Ability Test (GAT), carrying 600 marks, will be conducted from 2 pm to 4 pm.The UPSC had conducted the registration process for NDA and NA Exam 2 2026 until June 11, 2026.The examination is conducted for admission to the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. It is meant for candidates who want to pursue a career in the armed forces.

NDA, NA exam 2: Vacancies

The NDA and NA Exam 2 2026 will be conducted to fill a total of 394 vacancies. Of these, 370 positions are for male candidates and 24 positions are for female candidates.

NDA, NA exam 2: Marking scheme

The written examination will have two papers:

  • Mathematics: 300 marks
  • General Ability Test: 600 marks

Each paper will be conducted for 2.5 hours.There will be negative marking in the examination. One-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for questions that are left unanswered.

NDA, NA exam 2: Selection process

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will move to the next stage of the selection process.The shortlisted candidates will appear for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. The SSB selection process includes intelligence and personality tests, followed by group tasks, a psychology evaluation round and a medical examination.Candidates should check the official UPSC website for further updates related to the examination, admit card and selection process.
