Candidates who have been allotted a seat must download their allotment letter and report to the designated institute within the given reporting period.Candidates should also complete the admission process as instructed by the allotted college. Those who join a seat may be eligible to participate in later rounds of NEET SS counselling for seat upgradation or choose to retain their allotted seat, as per the applicable counselling rules.

Why was NEET SS counselling 2025 delayed?

The NEET SS counselling process was delayed due to a legal dispute and a review petition related to 151 vacant super-specialty seats in Tamil Nadu. MCC had paused the choice filling and locking process until further notice. The delay led several groups of doctors and students to ask MCC to provide a clear timeline for the counselling process.Following a Supreme Court order, MCC later added 153 vacant in-service seats from Tamil Nadu to the Round 2 seat matrix.A total of 2,423 Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) super-specialty seats were offered for admission in NEET SS Round 2.Candidates are advised to check the official MCC website for the final allotment result, allotment letter and further counselling updates.
