UPPSC Assistant Professor result 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the preliminary examination results for eight subjects under the recruitment of Assistant Professors in government colleges. The results have been released for Commerce, Fine Arts, Hindi, Mathematics, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Zoology and Computer Science.The preliminary examination was conducted on May 31 under the Government College Examination-2025. Candidates who have qualified in these subjects will now be eligible to appear for the main examination. UPPSC Secretary Girijesh Kumar Tyagi said a large number of candidates appeared for the examination across the subjects.UPPSC Assistant Professor result: Subject-wise statisticsThe subject-wise figures released by the commission show the number of registered candidates, candidates who appeared in the preliminary examination, available posts and those who qualified for the main examination.

Hindi recorded the highest number of registrations among the eight subjects, with 16,098 candidates applying and 10,801 appearing for the preliminary examination. A total of 1,983 candidates qualified for the main examination.Commerce had 8,423 registered candidates, of whom 4,154 appeared and 945 qualified. In Sanskrit, 2,297 candidates appeared out of 4,315 registered candidates, while 878 were declared successful.Candidates to appear for UPPSC Assistant Professor mainsCandidates who have cleared the preliminary examination will proceed to the main examination. In several subjects, the number of candidates available for the next stage is lower than the required number because some candidates did not secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks.UPPSC will issue a separate notification regarding the main examination schedule and the online application process. Candidates are required to check the Commission’s website for further instructions.The results for the eight subjects have been made available on the UPPSC website.
