Sunny Deol‘s ‘Batwara 1947’ released in theatres last Friday. The film received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics, which was also reflected in its box office performance. Set during the partition era, it also features Preity Zinta as the female lead. Here’s how the film is performing at the box office on its first Tuesday.

The Sunny Deol starrer opened to Rs 5.75 crore at the box office. On Day 2 and 3, the movie went on to rake in Rs 13.50 crore and 7.25 crore, respectively. With that, the opening weekend collection was Rs 26.50 crore.Now, according to the Sacnilk report, on Day 5, ‘Batwara 1947’ is running across 3,171 shows. The film has earned Rs 0.40 crore as of now. The numbers are expected to increase as the day progresses. With that, the total India net collection has reached Rs 28.90 crore, while the total India collection is now Rs 34.42 crore. The final India collections are yet to be reported.
