MUMBAI: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has released the second list for centralised admissions to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Architecture) course for academic year 2026-27. The list gives 728 new students an opportunity to secure admission from 2,007 candidates who expressed preferences in the second round.Of these candidates, 893 students have been allotted one of the colleges among their first three choices. These allotments are marked Auto freeze, making admission to the allotted college compulsory. Students who decline the allotted seat will not be permitted to participate in the third or fourth rounds and will instead have to wait for the institutional round.Second round records fresh allotmentsIn the first round, 1,183 students who received seat allotments completed admission by visiting their allotted colleges. A further 970 students from the first list opted for betterment, seeking an improved allotment in the next round. The second list has now expanded the pool of students with an admission opportunity.893 students receive preferred collegesThe second round has allotted preferred colleges to 893 students according to their submitted preference order. These students have been placed under Auto freeze and must complete admission at the allotted institution. If they reject the seat for any reason, they cannot return to the third or fourth rounds. Their next opportunity will be the open institutional round, held after the centralised rounds.Admission window remains open until August 20Students allotted colleges in the second round must report in person between August 18, 2026, and August 20, 2026. They must submit the required documents and pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission. The deadline applies to students whose seats were allotted through the second list and covers the formalities needed to complete the admission process.Third round vacancy details due on August 21The CET Cell will publish the provisional vacant seats for the third round on August 21, 2026. The vacancy position will follow the completion of admissions arising from the second round. Students whose choices and allotments do not result in admission under the applicable rules will have to follow the next stage of the centralised process.Second list covers 2,007 candidatesIn the second round, 2,007 students submitted preferences for B.Architecture admissions. Of these, 728 are new students receiving an admission opportunity, while 893 have secured colleges among their first three choices. The Auto freeze condition applies to these 893 allotments.The notice was issued by Maharashtra CET Cell officials in Mumbai. The Maharashtra government’s CET Cell issued the notice through its public relations office in Mumbai.
