NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1, with the seat allotment result now scheduled to be released on August 21, 2026. The revised timeline covers admissions under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 100% of seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER and AFMC institutions for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing courses.The updated schedule was issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on August 19, 2026. Under the revised timeline, the processing of Round 1 seat allotment will take place from August 19 to August 20, followed by publication of the result on August 21, 2026.Revised Round 1 counselling scheduleThe verification of the tentative seat matrix by participating institutes was completed on August 4, 2026. Registration and payment were scheduled from August 5 to August 15, 2026, with registration closing at 3:00 PM and the payment facility remaining available until 5:00 PM on August 15, as per server time.Choice filling began on August 6 and continues until August 18, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. Choice locking starts at 5:30 PM on August 17 and remains available until 11:59 PM on August 18.Seat allotment processing is scheduled for August 19 and August 20, with the Round 1 result due on August 21, 2026.Candidates allotted seats will have to complete reporting and joining from August 22 to August 31, 2026.
