According to the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar, bank holidays vary across cities and states, so a closure in one part of the country may not apply nationwide.Customers should check their specific branch’s holiday schedule before planning a visit, particularly if they need services that can only be completed at a physical branch. Apart from regional holidays, banks also remain closed on regular Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays.

September 4: Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh due to Janmashtami (Vaishnava) (Shravan Vad-8)/Krishna Jayanti.September 11: Banks will remain closed in Rajasthan due to elections in the jurisdiction of Jaipur Municipal Corporation.September 12: Banks in Assam will remain closed due to Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva.September 14: Banks will remain closed in Maharashtra, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Telangana, Goa, Andhra Pradesh due to Ganesh Chaturthi/Ganesh Puja/Vinayaka Chaturthi/Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vratham/Chaturthi.September 15: Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Odisha and Goa due to Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha)/Nuakhai/Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd Day).September 21: Banks will remain closed in Assam and Kerala due to Janmotsav of Srimanta Sankardeva/Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi.September 22: Banks will remain closed in Jharkhand due to Karma Puja.September 23: Banks will remain closed in Jammu & Kashmir due to the Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.September 25: Banks will remain closed in Sikkim due to Indrajatra.
