Shehnaaz Gill recently found herself in a nerve-racking mid-air situation that had her praying for a safe landing. The actor, who was travelling with her brother Shehbaz Badesha, shared a video of the turbulent flight on Instagram on Tuesday, giving fans a glimpse of the tense moments inside the aircraft.

In the widely shared footage, Shehnaaz and Shehbaz can be seen praying and trying to keep their composure as the aircraft shook amid intense turbulence. Shehnaaz was repeatedly heard chanting, “Waheguru, Waheguru,” while Shehbaz appeared to be trying to hold back nervous laughter beside her.As the aircraft began its descent, Shehnaaz appeared to hope for a smooth landing. Once the plane touched down safely, she and the other passengers could be seen visibly relaxing.Sharing the video, Shehnaaz wrote, “Bahut mushkil se bache aaj (We narrowly escaped today)… So grateful we landed safely.”The flight landed in Mumbai, although further details about its origin were not disclosed.
Another close call on the ‘Ishqnama ‘ set
This is not the first recent scare Shehnaaz has experienced. During the filming of ‘Ishqnama’, a behind-the-scenes clip showed the actor running during a scene when her nose ring slipped and became lodged in her mouth. Shehnaaz began coughing, prompting her co-star Saurabh Sachdeva to quickly step in and pat her back until she recovered. The incident was captured on camera and subsequently circulated online.

‘Ishqnama’, a Punjabi period romance directed by Arvindr Khaira, was released on July 24. The film follows Nimma, a Sikh poet from India, and his cross-border love story with Nasima, a girl from Pakistan. The film also stars Jayy Randhawa, Saurabh Sachdeva, Anjum Batra and Mahanbir Bhullar alongside Shehnaaz. Shehnaaz is also part of ‘Singh vs Kaur 2’, a romantic comedy starring Gippy Grewal and directed by Navaniat Singh. The film was released globally on September 11, 2026. In Bollywood, Shehnaaz was last seen in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, where she made a special appearance. The film was released in October 2024.
