Director Ashwath Marimuthu, currently helming the much-anticipated Rajinikanth starrer Dharman, has given fans a fresh update from the sets. The filmmaker took to social media on Wednesday to confirm that the project has entered its third schedule, sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse featuring the Superstar himself.
When did Dharman’s third schedule begin?
Taking to his X handle, Ashwath Marimuthu posted a video showing Rajinikanth seated with his back to the camera, deep in conversation with actress Raashi Khanna on set. Captioning the clip, the director wrote:“Back with Thalaivar for ‘Dharman’ 3rd schedule #superstar @RKFI.”The latest update arrives close on the heels of the film wrapping its second schedule, which ran from August 13 to September 4. Producer Kamal Haasan‘s production banner marked the milestone with its own celebratory post, writing, “Dharman 2nd Schedule Wrapped. Swag Mode: ON.” A glimpse from the video showed Rajinikanth in character as a senior medical faculty member, lecturing a group of junior doctors.

At the start of the second schedule, the makers had unveiled Rajinikanth’s doctor avatar with the caption, “The deadly doctor. #Dharman Schedule 2 Begins, and this one’s legendary. #KettaPaiyanSir.”The film, earlier known by its working title ‘Thalaivar173’ had its first look poster shared back in June, teasing Rajinikanth’s striking new avatar with the note, “We heard you !! Ithan hair styleu (This is the hair style)!! Ithan looku (This is the look)! Sexy work @kabilanchelliah.” The poster depicted him inside an operation theatre, scalpel in hand, standing over a fallen rowdy — hinting at the film’s dark, edgy tone.
