After being sent in to bat, Campbell set the tone with a 65-ball century as the West Indies exposed India’s inexperienced pace attack. The opener eventually scored 101 off 68 balls, with nine fours and five sixes.A self-confessed admirer of Chris Gayle, Campbell brought the same attacking approach to his innings as he took on the Indian bowlers from the start.Hope and Jangoo then kept the West Indies in control through the middle and later stages of the innings, maintaining a scoring rate of around eight runs an over.Hope played the role of both anchor and aggressor. He built his innings carefully before increasing the pace after getting a reprieve on 27, when Virat Kohli dropped him at short midwicket and the ball went through his hands.The West Indies captain went on to score 104 off 94 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes, and kept the scoring rate high to prevent India from making a comeback.Jangoo complemented Hope with a mix of controlled strokeplay and attacking shots. He reached his second ODI century in just 69 balls and finished with 114 off 83 balls, including 13 fours and three sixes.The three centuries made it the first time the West Indies had scored three hundreds in an ODI.
