'Baththa' box office collection day 12 vs 'Sigma': Vijay Sethupathi’s film crosses Rs 24 crore net, earns nearly 3 times more than Jason Sanjay’s debut

‘Baththa,’ starring Vijay Sethupathi, keeps outshining Jason Sanjay’s directorial venture, ‘Sigma,’ at the box office. While the former film enjoys an excellent theatrical performance and good weekend figures, the latter film, featuring Sundeep Kishan, has earned comparatively less. The two films have followed different box office paths since their theatrical releases, with ‘Baththa’ maintaining a clear advantage in the race.

‘Baththa’ earns Rs 1.20 crore

On Day 12, ‘Baththa’ collected Rs 1.20 crore in India net collections across 1,649 shows, according to Sacnilk. Its total domestic net collection has now reached Rs 24.61 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 28.46 crore. The previous day, the movie had collected Rs 3.10 crore. Although its latest daily collection is lower, the film has established a sizeable lead over its competitor. Its overall theatrical performance continues to make it the stronger performer of the two releases.

Jason Sanjay’s film records Rs 8.69 crore net

Meanwhile, ‘Sigma’ has accumulated Rs 8.69 crore in India net collections, with its worldwide gross also reported at Rs 9.87 crore. Directed by Jason Sanjay and featuring Sundeep Kishan in the lead role, opened with Rs 1.50 crore on October 2. However, its daily earnings declined over the following days before showing a modest improvement during the second weekend. The film collected Rs 14 lakh on Saturday, Rs 16 lakh on Sunday, and Rs 13 lakh on Monday, October 12, indicating a limited recovery after its weekday slowdown.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from diverse public and industry sources.
