NCERT CIET recruitment 2026: Apply for temporary project positions in research and digital education fields

The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), has invited applications for various contractual positions under PAB-approved projects for the 2026-27 period. The recruitment drive is open for candidates interested in education technology, research, eContent development, media, training, communication and project implementation.The selected candidates will work at CIET-NCERT, New Delhi-110016, on a temporary contractual basis. The engagement period will continue up to March 31, 2027. Eligible applicants must submit their applications before July 30, 2026, by 11 pm through the prescribed application process.Details of contractual positions and engagementCIET-NCERT has announced the recruitment to support different projects approved under the Project Approval Board (PAB). The posts are purely temporary, and the number of positions may increase or decrease depending on project requirements.Candidates applying for these roles must ensure that they meet the required educational qualifications and experience criteria mentioned for the respective posts. Experience related to research, teaching, training, extension activities and eContent development will be considered specifically in the context of school education.Applicants claiming experience requirements for positions with consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000 or above must provide supporting documents during the interview. These documents may include an attested salary slip, bank statement or Income Tax Return (ITR) records for the period being claimed as professional experience.Eligibility requirements and interview guidelinesCIET-NCERT has stated that candidates must submit accurate details regarding their qualifications and experience. Time spent pursuing M.Phil. or PhD degrees will not be counted as teaching or research experience for eligibility purposes.Candidates currently employed in temporary or permanent roles must bring a No Objection Certificate from their employer. Without the certificate, applicants will not be allowed to appear for the interview.Selected candidates may be required to join immediately after completion of the selection process. Applicants must carry original documents related to qualifications and experience along with their bio-data in the prescribed format provided in Annexure-1.Documents and application instructionsCandidates attending the interview should bring examples of their written or published work, if available. This may include scripts, storyboards, artwork, multimedia projects, graphics, animations, audio-video advertisements, promotional material, books, journals, thesis documents, dissertations and magazines.No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
