The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will declare the CSAB Special Round and Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) seat allotment result 2026 today, August 6, at 5 pm. Candidates who have registered for the counselling process will be able to check their allotment status by visiting the official website, csab.nic.in.The seat allotment result will be available only in online mode. Candidates must log in to the CSAB 2026 portal using their login credentials to view and download their allotment result.
How to check the seat allotment result
Candidates can follow these steps to access their result:
- Visit the official CSAB website at csab.nic.in.
- Click on the CSAB Special Round &
DASA Seat Allotment Result 2026 link on the homepage. - Enter your login credentials.
- Submit the details to view the allotment result.
- Download the result and keep a printed copy for future use.
Willingness options available till August 10
Candidates who are allotted a seat can choose any one of the following willingness options between August 6 and August 10, 2026:
- Freeze
- Slide
- Float
- Surrender
- Withdraw
- Exit
Candidates allotted a seat must also download the Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip, which contains details of the allotted seat and the next steps for confirming admission.
Document verification and seat confirmation
Candidates who select the Freeze, Slide, or Float option and complete the Institutional Admission Fee-II (IAF-II) payment will have their uploaded documents verified online by officials at the designated Verification Centres.After the verification process is completed, the final admission status, whether Seat Confirmed or Seat Cancelled, will be updated in the candidate’s login portal.According to the counselling schedule, August 11, 2026, is the last date for candidates to respond to queries raised by the document verifying officer. It is also the final date for resolving IAF-II payment issues for candidates who attempted the payment in Round 1 before the payment deadline.
Seat allotment based on JEE Main ranks
CSAB will allot seats based on candidates’ Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 ranks against the vacant seats available after the regular counselling rounds.Candidates are advised to regularly check the official CSAB website for the latest counselling updates and complete all admission-related formalities within the prescribed deadlines.
