DU PG cut off 2026 released: Over 10,500 candidates opt for spot round-1, check minimum allocation scores here
Delhi University has published the minimum allocation scores for the first Spot Round of PG admissions 2026, along with the list of seat allotments. Among 10,577 candidates who gave consent to participate, 1,358 have been allotted seats. Candidates must confirm their admission by 4:59 PM on July 31, subject to document verification and university guidelines.

The University of Delhi (DU) has issued the minimum cut-off marks for the first Spot Round of admission in its two-year postgraduate courses, giving candidates a fair idea about the admission process as seat allotment is now nearing its end.As per information by the university, over 10,500 applicants have shown their interest in participating in the Spot Round-I. But only a few of them could manage to get seats due to fierce competition for available seats.

More than 10,000 candidates registered for Spot Round-I

In an official update shared on July 30, 2026, Delhi University announced that 10,577 candidates submitted their consent to be considered for Spot Round-I admissions for two-year postgraduate programmes.Out of these applicants, 1,358 candidates have been allotted seats based on programme-specific eligibility, merit, category-wise reservation, seat availability, and the university’s prescribed tie-breaking rules.Candidates who have received a seat allocation must accept their allotted seat by 4:59 PM on July 31, 2026. Failure to accept the seat within the stipulated deadline may result in the cancellation of the allocation.

Minimum allocation scores available on official website

The university has published the minimum allocation scores for Spot Round-I in PDF format on its admission portal. These scores indicate the lowest score at which admission was offered for each programme where seats were available during the spot admission round.It is important to note that minimum allocation scores have been released only for those postgraduate programmes in which seats were allotted during Spot Round-I. Programmes with no seat allocation do not feature in the list.

How were seats allocated?

Delhi University clarified that seat allocation in Spot Round-I has been carried out after considering multiple admission parameters. These include:

  • Programme-specific eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates’ merit and allocation scores.
  • Applicable social category reservations.
  • Availability of vacant seats.
  • Tie-breaking rules wherever required.

University advises candidates to report discrepancies

DU stated that every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the published allocation data. However, candidates who notice any discrepancy in their admission details have been asked to immediately contact the University’s Admission Branch for timely resolution.The University also stressed that the ultimate decision on admission lies with Delhi University alone and is still contingent on the verification of documents and the adherence to all the required admission guidelines.The announcement of minimum cutoff marks has ushered in the crucial phase of the first Spot Round admission procedure, and those admitted are urged to confirm the admission before the deadline.
