ENIL EBITDA rises 42% in Q1, digital business grows
The company’s non-digital business reported a 7.4% increase in EBITDA and an 85% rise in profit after tax during the quarter

NEW DELHI: Entertainment Network (India) (ENIL), which operates Radio Mirchi and audio streaming platform Gaana, reported consolidated revenue of Rs 113 crore during June quarter. Domestic revenue was estimated at Rs 111 crore, while EBITDA rose 42% to Rs 8.7 crore, aided by cost rationalisation measures undertaken by the company.The company’s non-digital business reported a 7.4% increase in EBITDA and an 85% rise in profit after tax during the quarter, even as radio advertising remained under pressure due to weak industry conditions and subdued advertising demand, it said. ENIL’s digital business posted revenue of Rs 21.1 crore in April-June, up 43.3% from a year earlier. Digital contributed 30.2% of the company’s revenue during quarter, compared with 23% in the corresponding period last year.
